Martin LLP becomes Premier Sponsor for Connecticut non-profit
WESTPORT, CT (September 20, 2018) - myTEAM TRIUMPH: Connecticut (mTT), a non-profit athletic ride-along program created for children, adults and veterans with disabilities (who would normally not be able to experience endurance events such as triathlons or road races), announced Martin LLP as the nonprofit’s first corporate sponsorship.
“We’re so happy and grateful to partner up with Martin LLP as a Premier Sponsor for the Connecticut chapter of myTEAM TRIUMPH,” said Curt Lueker, Founder and President. “It’s been an amazing partnership working with Chris Martin and his firm, from their team building day at one of our events, to their financial support and their participation at other races. In fact, because of their support, we now have six brand new racing chairs and two additional chairs on the way.”

The newly formed CT non-profit teams with STAR, Inc. for their first 5k event.
WESTPORT, CT (March 29, 2018) - myTEAM TRIUMPH: Connecticut (mTT), a non-profit athletic ride-along program created for children, adults and veterans with disabilities (who would normally not be able to experience endurance events such as triathlons or road races), announced today that their first event would be the STAR, Inc. 5k Run, Walk & Roll at Sherwood Island on May 6th, 2018.
“We started the Connecticut Chapter for mTT late last year and the response from the community has been incredible," said Curt Lueker, Founder and President. “We’re particularly thankful, though, to partner with STAR, not only for their upcoming race, but also on an ongoing basis working closely together with their various programs.”
All money raised by mTT "Angels" will go to STAR, Inc., a not for profit organization serving individuals of all ages who have developmental disabilities, as well as providing support services to their families. STAR provides services to over 500 infants, children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families with approximately 74% of these in the low/moderate income level.

HOW myTEAM TRIUMPH WORKS
* "Captains" are challenged athletes who participate in endurance events with the use of specialized racing chairs and with the assistance of their Angel athletes.
* "Angels" are able-bodied athletes who fundraise all costs, provide teamwork through training, and guide their Captain across the finish line.
*The CT chapter was formed in 2017, and is a part of a national organization.
